Description

Oh? What's this? I COULDN'T HELP IT AND NOW I AM JOINING PMD-O I'M SORRY

Beedrill Rank for now, but I'm worried that I may not have time to dedicate to this with a full-time Youtube channel, commission work, and trying to move out. Could change down the line, but I certainly hope not. For now, I plan on taking this as seriously as I can.

Anyway, here's the info.
Their Tumblr is here, but I still have to get the aesthetics ready: teamninelives.tumblr.com

Team Name | Team Nine Lives
Guild Affiliation | Archivists
Rank | Beedrill

FIRST TEAMMATE

Valentine | Meowth
Male | Unnerve
Serious | A Little Quick Tempered
Shadow Claw | Hypnosis | Punishment | Last Resort

Royal Purple Scarf | Accessory Two | Accessory Three

History: Valentine is a cool, collected cat who adores wealth of all kinds. Money, land, possessions, and information. The business minded Meowth already has as much money as he could want, and could buy whatever he pleases. However, information is not as easily bartered for. His goal in the Archivists Guild is to learn as much as he possibly can, and possibly even garner a few rare trinkets for his collection along the way.
He's not usually one to get his hands dirty, but when he was approached in secret by a recruiter for the Archivists, his lust for knowledge made the choice a simple one to make. Moving to Sanctuary was well within his interests, as it would only further secure his family's influence. Though he is the owner of the manor back in his town town, he decided to leave it in the care of his sister to pursue building a new empire in Sanctuary. However, he still required a manservant to accompany him. He couldn't be expected to do all of his own house-chores after the move, could he?
Constantine wasn't exactly his first choice, but in the interest of leaving the strongest guards at home to protect the only thing he cares more about than wealth - his sister - he decided on the scrawny, scared little Espurr. Constantine has a nasty penchant for making messes and causing chaos accidently, but this is due to him possessing great power but being unable to properly control it. Valentine thinks a little fine grooming and mentoring could mold the little screw-up into a proper body-guard and, perhaps, even a business partner.

Nickname: Valentine doesn't like to go by nicknames, but some Mons call him Val for short. Just, not usually to his face as they'd receive a swift scratch.

Fighting Style: He's wry and clever, favoring brain over brawn. However, that doesn't mean he's a pushover. If cornered, he can certainly fight his hardest and won't be afraid to get a little blood on his fur. Of course, due to lack of practice, he's not the strongest cat by any means. Ordinarily, he uses his Unnerve ability to ward off any prey. Just the look on his face is often enough to chase off those who might try to cross him. In the case that that doesn't work on its own, he was born with the ability to use Hypnosis and finds that a sleeping foe usually has very little will to fight. Or prevent him from pilfering their pockets. When he does steal, it's not often money or valuables in that way. What he looks for most is objects of rarity or letters. Letters, notes, memos, and books. His desire for knowledge is so strong that he may not even care if the paper he's snatched is a treasure map or a grocery list. Beyond that, he has a shameful addiction to round objects.

Attitude: Valentine is a stern leader and expects his instructions to be followed. When those beneath him screw up or falter, he is swift with his Punishment move to show them he means business. On the other end, he is generous with his rewards to those who go above and beyond or show impressive improvement. Those who do the bare minimum are beneath his notice. This also goes to his equals. He isn't afraid of chastising his cohorts on a piss-poor job, but will praise them for a job well done. Again, those who do just enough to get by aren't even worthy of his acknowledgement. He isn't a stranger to being a subordinate to someone else, but loyalty isn't exactly his strong suit. If his leaders give him reason to respect them, he feels no shame in following them. However, if they prove to be incompetent, unintelligent, or show him blatant disrespect (that he didn't earn), he quickly turns to devising plans on how to take them down. If he isn't in a position to rip their position of power away from them, then he can usually be satiated with just inconveniencing them to the best of his ability. He will go out of his way to make someone's life worse if they cross him. He isn't exactly aware of how petty that mentality is, and instead considers it "karma".

SECOND TEAMMATE

Constantine | Espurr
Male | Infiltrator
Timid | Scatters Things Often
Protect | Disarming Voice | Trick | Psyshock

Yellow-Gold Scarf (often tied to Valentine's tail as an anchor so he doesn't accidently float away) | Accessory Two | Accessory Three

History: Constantine is a nervous, clumsy, sad excuse for a manservant who worked at Valentine's villa for half of his life. As a kitten, the Espurr always had problems controlling the psychic powers he was born with, making him the joke of the litter. His brothers and sisters excelled in their studies while he was hardly invited to their training sessions after a few times where he ended up accidentally hurting them. His parents soon considered him to be more of a burden than anything else and began to ignore his presence. Eventually, they figured, he'd realize he was unwanted and go away. One day, they finally did pay notice to him. Because they were sending him away. They gave him a yellow scarf and tied it around his neck like a bow: the perfect little gift for the visiting Persian who had come into their village with a caravan of supplies. That was the deal. In exchange for food, blankets, building materials and a few frivolous little trinkets, a few felines of the village would be offered up to be their servants, forever indebted to them for saving their families. And so, along with several other Espurr, Skitty, Purrloin and Glameow, Constantine's life was forfeited to the rich Persian and her family.
Constantine first met Valentine on the caravan ride back. As the oldest of the children, Valentine was permitted to go on the journey and watch his mother at work. Hence, he got to meet all the new servants first and was even instructed to watch over them to make sure nothing went wrong. Valentine was a few years older than the terrified young faces in the caravan. He met them all one by one, asking their names and little things about them. When he reached Constantine... well, at that point in time, Constantine wasn't his name. Valentine, disgusted with his birth name, immediately bestowed upon him a new name (one he considered to be better). Constantine never talks about what his old name was, per the instructions of Valentine. Sometimes he even forgets what he used to be called.
Being selected to travel with Master Valentine, despite his constant screw ups and sheepish nature was a huge honor. As they prepared for the journey, Valentine informed him of the Archivists Guild and his true reasons for moving to Sanctuary. Constantine was to be listed alongside Valentine as his teammate: his partner. Constantine was thrilled. He's still anxious about his powers going out of control, but his goal is to not let his master down.

Nickname: Constantine also goes by Constance, Cons (pronounced Conce), and occasionally Stan (sometimes pronounced Stin).

Fighting Style: Constantine received further training under the employment of Valentine's mother and has since become a force to be reckoned with. If he can keep his cool. Constantine unfortunately has not quite figured out how to keep his powers under control. For usual day to day life, he only has an accident every few weeks with minor incidents sprinkled in between (Minor meaning accidently floating away or causing other objects to float off, teleporting things to different places, breaking things that he had meant to use his psychic powers to transport, and sneezing and causing a small burst of psychic energy to shatter glass around him. Major accidents include but are not restricted to blowing holes in the sides of buildings, causing other Pokémon to float away, causing major headaches to those around him because of his uncontrolled psychic energy, and hurting others during these unstable times.) In a fight, if he's controlled and calm, he prefers to dispatch of foes quickly using a powerful Psyshock (or Disarming Voice for Dark-Types). Tougher foes force him to use Protect to shield himself or Master Valentine. Trick is reserved for Pokémon who have something that Valentine needs or objects that boost their power. Can't have that, can we? When uncontrolled, Constantine may accidentally hurt everyone around him, not just the enemy. Or, in a true fit of panic, he may Protect until it fails and end up hurting himself.

Attitude: Constantine is very unsure of himself, and has relatively low self-esteem. His favorite things about himself are often tied to Valentine in some way. The Espurr is nervous in situations involving strangers, and usually lets Valentine do the talking. He follows orders rather well, but only after he's cleared with Valentine that these are orders he is permitted to follow. Basically, a majority of the things he does are either instructions from Valentine, or things he has been given permission beforehand to do. He takes pride in his work, so when he screws up... he's really hard on himself. He gets extremely nervous when forced to be in a position of power. He doesn't even like telling children what to do! He's most confident when Valentine is nearby, or when doing battle on a "good day". Despite his anxiety, he loves to fight and is good at it. When he has downtime, he sometimes goes to do training by himself. He feels that the more training days he gets, the less often accidents happen. Whether that is true or not is still to be determined.

Thank you for meeting my babies, and I hope to interact with a lot of you in the near future! Hopefully Beedrill Rank sticks for me and I can actually keep up with this, but if I find that I'm missing missions and stuff... I'll change it to Butterfree and just do what I can.

Application is for and belongs to :iconpmdorigins: Archivists Guild.
Meowth and Espurr belong to Nintendo.
Characters (Valentine and Constantine) belong to me.

Feel free to draw them, but please tag me if you post it anywhere! I'll try to have a Team Tumblr fully functioning soon! Feel free to contact me about cameos!
